Term 2
Erin's Salon, Side 1
I was assigned to make a personal brochure. I chose to do a salon called Erin’s Salon. On side 1 there are the hours, prices and the name of my salon. First, I had a picture taken of myself. Then I had to put it in paint and traced around my hair. Then, I went into this brochure is the hours, prices, and the name of my salon. The prices vary from $10 - $25 depending on what you get. Then I added some pictures to add more detail.
Erin's Salon, Side 2
On the second side I did the same exact thing. I had hair styles, a little information about me, and my salon's location.
Oh Daddy CD Cover (Back/Front)
I had to design a CD cover for the lyrics I was assigned to. I got "Oh Daddy" by Fleetwood Mac. I had to go into publisher, open blank page sizes, custom page size, 9.5' x 4.75' and then use a guideline to slipt the page somewhere near the middle where the CD cover would fold.
Oh Daddy CD Cover (Inside Cover)
On the inside cover I put the lyrics to the song "Oh Daddy" and I added some little pictures so the inside didn't seem so plain.
Calendar(July)
I was assigned to make a calendar with 12 months in it. I first went into Publisher and opened a blank page that was 8.5' x 11'. I then divided it in half with the 'guides'. On the bottom half of the page I put a 'grid' for the month of July. The on the top half, I put to pictures that I got from Google, and edited them in photoshop. I also went into Paint and had to 'draw' the four phases of the moon from that month and put them on my calendar. Then where I had extra space, I put some facts about the month July, such as the month's birthstone and birth flower.
Back of Calendar(July)
To make a calendar right, you must put things in a certain way. Thats why the month/picture (August pic/July month) on the back of July/July is upside down. I did the same thing on the back, as I did on the front but I had to flip it so it would be upside down, so the calendar would be put together correctly.
